Stay Forever

Image
Stay Forever This is a new song. It is part of a batch of new productions, this is the ai-generated demo. The song did not make it into the next stage (which means recording). But nevertheless I think I should not withhold it from you.   Stay Forever Will the wounds ever heal Will the scars ever fade Will the memory reveal All the paths we never made And decisions are like wind To be torn from the parade To close down means to begin I have loved I did not hate And I know you wait outside For a long a long long time Will the memory reveal The aim, it did collide I still remember that I wanted to spend a year I still remember "Will you stay here, here by me", she said I wanted to stay forever Did you hear I wanted to stay forever With you forever here Forever here And here And here and here and here And I know you wait outside For a long, the longest time For the thoughts I have denied For a long, the longest time I wanted to stay forever With you forever here For

My Healing

Image
Lately, while throwing old stuff away I came across a small staple of papers that should have been filed under CREAMVIII ("filed"!! ha!) but were lost between some old invoices and magazines. This was all stuff that had not been incorporated into Wintertime. This is an unnamed lyric sheet. My Healing, it is called now. As I fumbled around in these sane directions Towards endless pleasures in a cyanide car As I strolled along some other complexions Fühlte ich Dich so tief, fühlte ich Dich so nah So nah Hey, hey, hey You are my healing Hey, hey, hey Black rain my day Hey, hey, hey You are my healing Hey, hey, hey You are my prey Und wenn ich viel hunderttausend Tode sterben werde Und wenn ich dann am Ende unendlich in dir vergeh' Dann weiss ich, du solltest doch mein mein Heil sein Meine letzte Erlösung und mein letzter Weg Mein Weg Hey, hey, hey You are my healing Hey, hey, hey Black rain

Collab Announcements (PART 1) Tobias Forsner

Image
The next release will take place this year, or beginning of next year, depending on the collaborations that we corrently have. I will keep you informed on the state of development here.  Fist things first... First collaboration is with Sweden-based Tobias Forsner, whose terrific work includes covers of unreleased Sisters Of Mercy material, he provided structure, bass and guitar for one song that is already recorded, but needs to be mixed and mastered. I have to say that it was an absolute pleasure to work with him and surely this will not be our last time, as he already opted to produce another song with us. Tobia's YOUTUBE channel There will be an official video. Yes. Currently two more collabs are in the works, next update will be once they are signed and sealed and recorded!

Images of Cathedral

Image
Cathedral came to live as the first "real" song I wrote after Henning had left and TSU! was no more.  Before that,  Sabine, Jörg and me had been going to the Sisters Of Mercy concert in Düsseldorf in 1990 and we were waiting a long time outside in the freezing November coldness. Sabine said: "You should write a song about this. like "It was a cold, dark night" and I went: "Yeah, like...  It was a cold dark night in the freezing waiting zone,  waiting for a band that would never, never come."....   The line stuck with me and when Olli demanded semi-soundtracks for his Torch-Tape productions I took samples from a movie (the c-Dolph Lundgren-cheapo-SF-epos called "Dark Angel") and incorporated it to the line  "It was a cold dark night in the lethal urban zone, waiting for a train that would never, never come, she said. Go on" I was very convinced that it would work and eventually recorded this song called "Lethal Urban Zone "

ASCHE - the original CREAMVIII Newsletter

Image
Yes, we did have a newsletter. Starting with the release of "The Emerald Touch", KM-Musik asked for it to give them away as promotion in their shop in Gütersloh. The first two issues were basically that, 2 pages of A4 just with some text. With the release of the popular (well, in my recollection about 2x10.000 were pressed - but I could be wrong) "Sound of Delight No.1" CD-Sampler, we switched to 16 pages of A6 for #3. With the folding of the SOM-sublabel of KM-Musik we stopped producing the newsletter after it was obvious that "Touching Ground" would not be published by KM/SOM. Besides that we already had the creamviii-website running.  I don't have #1 and #2 anymore, but here are the covers of the remaining ones.

The Skating Dead OST

Image
Back in early 1989 I got hands on a fanzine called Gory (something), and in there was an advert for a soon to be made amateur-production called "The Skating Dead" with the plea to everybody to participate. I liked the idea of writing a soundtrack, after all these were mainly the things I tried to record as  I did not have much confidence in my voice and my skills as guitar player. This was recorded again with my first setup: Casio SK-5 Casio CZ-1 Roland MT-32 I recorded and collected stuff for the movie soundtrack and made a cassette. That was the first time, I presented my stuff to anybody. Never received a reply. And even in the depth of the internet, neither that fanzine, nor "The Skating Dead" can be found, so you have to trust me on this. The artwork depicted in the advert were zombies in skateboard parcours. Well, obviously. I tried to recreate it  out of memory.  The Soundtrack is available on Bandcamp .  It contains 6 instrumentals. Some of them emerged lat
